Iryna Bohdanova is a iconographer and restorer. She lives and works in Kyiv.
The artist learned fundamental skills in orthodox icon painting in the Department of Iconography of Dnipropetrovs’k State Art College. She gained the specialty "Master of temple murals and orthodox icon painting". The iconographer was studying at the
Department of easel and monumental painting restoration of Kyiv National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. She has got Master’s Degree.
Iryna Bohdanova became a head of the Creative Union of painters in the name of St.
Alypius Pechersky.
The artist relies on samples of Byzantine iconography XIII-XIV centuries in her works. During all the period he also performs orders in painting (orthodox icon) of iconostasis.In she works, the author tries to combine organically experience and achievements of ancient isographs and modern painters.
She works in the field of iconography, mural painting and restoration of works of art.The artist participated in many national exhibitions, competitions and workshops of
sacred art and orthodox icon.
Her works are in private collections and churches of Ukraine, USA, Canada, Netherlands, Russia
